The Danish Ruby Parure Tiara
Historical Information :
The tiara was gifted to Queen Desiree from her husband for a coronation day of Emperor Napoleon in 1804. In 1980, Queen Desiree bequeathed the tiara to her daughter-in-law, Queen Josephine. Queen Josephine gave the tiara as a wedding gift to her granddaughter, Queen Louise in 1896. Queen Louise gave the tiara as a wedding gift to her daughter, Queen Alexandrine in 1898. In 1935, Queen Alexandrine gifted the tiara to her daughter-in-law, Queen Ingrid, as a wedding gift. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is the current owner of the tiara, as granddaughter-in-law of Queen Ingrid.
