More Info
Created by Boucheron in the Russian Kokoshnik style in 1919 (originally known as 1921), the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara features a giant cabochon emerald at its center, set with brilliant diamonds and emeralds on platinum. This crown, which was bequeathed to Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother) by its first owner, Dame Margaret Greville, in 1942, remained a mystery for more than 70 years because the Queen Mother did not wear it. The tiara was first worn by a royal at her granddaughter Princess Eugenie's wedding in October 2018, paired with emerald earrings she received from her husband. This historical jewel, displayed after the wedding, has not been seen again since.
