Empress Eugenie of France's Pearl Diadem
Historical Information :
The tiara was created in 1853 as a wedding gift to Empress Eugenie of France from Emperor Napoleon III. The tiara stayed in the country after the exile of Empress Eugenie and Emperor Napoleon III. In 1890, the tiara was gifted as a wedding present by Prince Albert I to Princess Margarethe Klementine of Thurn und Taxis. The Louvre Museum is the current home of the tiara since 1992.
